How to use a QR code gallery for event photos: create the event, place the QR code on site, and let guests browse and save photos on their phones.
Most event photographers start by sending photos through chat or sharing a folder link. That works for small jobs. With a wedding of several hundred guests, or a race with tens of thousands of photos, delivery starts to take longer than the shoot.
A good photo delivery system should fix that. Here is what to check before picking one.
A system that needs every photo uploaded again adds work to every job. If you already store files in Google Drive, a system that reads the Drive folder directly removes the second upload.
GN Collage links each event to a Google Drive folder. Photos already there, and photos added later, appear in the gallery. Originals stay in the photographer's Drive. See Google Drive Sync.
Most guests will not install an app or create an account to see one event. Look for:
With thousands of photos, a gallery alone is not enough. Face Search lets guests see only their own photos and cuts the questions sent to the photographer afterwards.
Always ask whether guests' face scans are stored. In GN Collage, the scan and face data used for a search are not stored after the search.
Event photos always get shared on social media. A watermark keeps your credit attached. Check for text and logo options, position and opacity control, and one setting per event. See Photo Watermark.
Wedding and company photos should not be findable by strangers. A good system has no public event search and opens a gallery only for people with the link.
Some events benefit from guests getting photos before the event ends. A system that syncs from a Drive folder works with cameras that send to Drive while shooting. Read Camera to gallery during the event.
Trying it on a real event before paying is the best test. GN Collage starts free with no credit card. See the pricing page.
